Minox 8x11

Everything you need to photograph with Minox cameras: cutting film, loading cassettes, developing, and digitizing — step by step.

1

Cutting Film

Minox film (9.2mm) is cut from standard 35mm or 120 film. Our film cutter has an integrated safety cover and is ready to use immediately.

Tip: Film Length for Cutting

Approx. 65 cm for 36 exposures. From one 35mm film cartridge you get 2 Minox strips — about €3 per film instead of €26 for original Minox film.

Warning: The film cutter contains sharp blades. Handle carefully when opening for the first time. Blades are replaceable — push out from below.

2

Load Cassette

Insert the cut film into the reusable 8x11 cassette. Compatible with Minox A, B, BL, C, EC, LX, TLX, CLX and Yashica Atoron.

Tip

Attach a small strip of tape at the film end — this allows you to remove the film in daylight without exposing the rest.

3

Developing

8x11 film (9.2mm) does not fit standard reels. Our developer spools are compatible with Jobo and Paterson tanks and ensure even development.

4

Scanning & Digitizing

The tiny 8x11 negative (88 mm²) needs maximum resolution. Camera scanning with a macro lens delivers ~12,000 ppi — better than any flatbed scanner.

Batteries & Accumulators

Minox A and B work purely mechanically without a battery. Models with built-in CdS light meters require a battery adapter.

Which battery does my Minox need?

  • Minox A, B: No battery needed (mechanical)
  • Minox BL: PX625 (1.35V) — CdS light meter
  • Minox C, EC, LX, TLX, CLX: PX27 (5.6V) — CdS light meter & electronics
