Important note on film handling

The original Durst Femomasks have pins on one side and holes on the opposite side. These pins serve as mechanical film guides and make the top and bottom masks different.

Our inserts are deliberately symmetrical and without pins. Therefore, you always need two identical masks per format — one for the top, one for the bottom. The film is inserted and positioned by hand. This requires an extra step but works reliably once you get the hang of it.

Description

These mask inserts are specially made for the Durst L-1200 enlarger with the Femoneg negative stage. They replace the often missing original masks and allow clean coverage of the negative. By reducing stray light, the contrast of your enlargements visibly improves. The inserts are designed to fit exactly into the cutouts of the Femoneg stage.
